If you're a fan of Middle Eastern cuisine, Lil' Shalom is a gem that's not to be missed. From the moment I stepped in, the ambiance set the stage for an authentic experience, with an open kitchen and a wood fire oven that promised culinary delights. The burnt beef ends hummus with pastrami and roasted jalapeño was a revelation, served with the freshest pita you can imagine. The grilled octopus with smashed potatoes was another standout dish, each bite more decadent than the last.
For vegetarians, the Shalom Y’all Plate is a must-try, boasting some of the best falafel I've ever tasted. The classic hummus and fries are perfect for sharing and the outdoor patio is an ideal spot to enjoy these treats. The diverse menu also features a lamb shawarma and chicken schnitzel that are bursting with flavor, not to mention the comforting mejadara lentil and rice plate.
While the service was more laid-back with walk-up counter service, it didn't detract from the overall experience. The focus here is on the food, and it truly shines. Every dish I tried was a testament to the skill and passion behind the scenes. Lil' Shalom is a place where the food speaks for itself, and I can't wait to go back and indulge in more of their mouthwatering offerings.
