Recently, I had the pleasure of dining at One Korean Restaurant, a spot that promises a taste of authentic Korean cuisine right in the heart of the city. My experience kicked off with a seafood pancake, which, while not as crispy as I'd hoped, was still quite flavorful. The real star of the meal, however, was the ginseng chicken soup. This hearty dish came with a whole chicken, generously stuffed with glutinous rice and chestnuts, offering a comforting and satisfying flavor that truly warmed my soul.
Other patrons seemed to share a similar sentiment about the authenticity and quality of the food. The beef short ribs came highly recommended and did not disappoint, boasting a perfect blend of flavors that left me wanting more. However, a slight miss was the grilled mackerel, which was unexpectedly fried and came with bones, making it a bit tricky to enjoy. Despite this, the beef bone soup was a hit, richly flavored and packed with tender beef rib and plenty of green onions.
Service at One Korean Restaurant was attentive and friendly, with staff frequently checking in to ensure a pleasant dining experience. While some dishes like the fried chicken ordered via Uber Eats didn't quite meet expectations, being a tad wetter than anticipated, the overall experience was positive. I'm definitely looking forward to my next visit, eager to delve deeper into their menu!
