A dessert sold in Washington has been recalled after a consumer reported experiencing a reaction after eating it.

Portland, Oregon-based New Seasons Market issued a recall of its Strawberry Rhubarb Bakewell Tart after it was determined to contain undeclared almond, which could cause a "serious or life-threatening" reaction to consumers with an allergy or severe sensitivity, according to a recall notice shared by the U.S. Food & Drug Administration .

According to the FDA, the tart, which was packaged in a plastic clamshell container with a black and white label scale label, was sold in New Seasons Markets Bakery and Pastry departments in two states, Oregon and Washington, between March 22 and June 3 and has a shelf-life of five days. The recall affects all "best if used by" dates.

The tart contains almond flour, but almond was not declared on the product label. The recall follows a report from a staff member who consumed the products and experienced a mild reaction that did not require medical attention. As of June 4, there have been no other reports of adverse reactions pertaining to the recalled tart. Anyone with an almond allergy or sensitivity is urged to throw out the product.
