BROOKVILLE WOMAN CHARGED WITH FALSE HIT-AND-RUN REPORT
A Brookville woman, 59 year old Ginger Ellen Lehr, was charged by Punxsutawney-based State Police for falsely reporting a hit-and-run accident in Rose Township. According to ExploreJeffersonPa.Com, on October 22, 2023, Lehr claimed she was rear-ended multiple times by a yellow semi-truck with Missouri plates while driving on U.S. Route 322. However, investigators found no damage to Lehr’s vehicle and noted undisturbed dirt on the bumper. The trucking company’s dashcam footage revealed no collision, showing instead that Lehr abruptly stopped her car, causing the truck to brake hard but not make contact.
