Birch Run graduate and former Powers Catholic Coach Eric Lazowski is named new Mott Volleyball Head Coach
FLINT, Mich. (WNEM) - Mott Community College’s volleyball team has found their new head coach as Flint Power’s Eric Lazowski will take over the team. Lazowski was the coach for the Chargers for four seasons, leading Powers to a district championship in 2022. The Birch Run graduate was an assistant coach for several colleges across the country before return back to Mid-Michigan to coach Powers Catholic.

Partners in Public Art mural will add a splash of color to Groesbeck Highway
They were designed to be practical, not pretty. However, the cement pillars supporting the pedestrian bridge over Groesbeck Highway will soon feature works of art created by Tatum Lorway and one of four summer projects underway for the Detroit Institute of Arts (DIA) Partners In Public Art (PIPA) mural program.
