REDDING, Calif. — A suspect has been arrested in connection to a carjacking at a motel in Redding late Thursday night. The Redding Police Department (RPD) says officers responded to a reported carjacking at the Quality Inn Motel off Hilltop Drive at 10:50 p.m. Thursday night, July 4. The victim reportedly told officers that a known acquaintance, Raymond Thomas, 35, forcibly took her vehicle at gunpoint.
