Police at Orlando International Airport allegedly escorted a man away from his gate after testing a viral pillowcase packing hack went wrong.

In early June, TikTok @NatashaOrganic shared clips of the now-viral incident — which over 2 million people have seen. The footage shows a man in a white beanie and black shirt arguing with someone who’s assumably an airport employee. Natasha explained that whoever was working at the gate prohibited the disgruntled traveler from boarding with a pillowcase. It was filled with clothes and other items. The pillowcase packing hack was assumably used to avoid paying for extra luggage.

Natasha claimed the airport staff didn’t agree with the man’s argument for bringing a pillowcase filled with his things. The employees allegedly wanted the man to pay for extra luggage. Still, he refused to do so before the situation escalated.

“He waited all the way up until they closed the doors to be like, ‘Okay, I’ll pay for it now,'” Natasha relayed. “And then he tried to like [get] his way into the freaking — I don’t know what that’s called, before you get into the plane,” she continued, seemingly referring to the jet bridge.

The TikToker said the airport staff called the police after telling the man to “back away.” Ultimately, she said the man “ended up getting escorted out.”

“Stop letting these social media sites give you tips and tricks because sometimes it’s not going to work,” Natasha advised other TikTok users.

What Airline Thwarted The Man’s Pillowcase Packing Hack?

Natasha tagged Frontier Airlines as one of the hashtags in her post’s caption.

The airline’s website doesn’t provide any information about pillow regulations or whether pillowcases can serve as luggage. However, the airline does highlight that it’s cheaper to purchase extra luggage. They suggest doing so while booking your flight rather than afterward, such as when you’re at the airport.
