The Bearcat Dugout Club met at the BHS cafeteria Monday afternoon, where parents and players were given an opportunity to meet the new interim baseball coach. Cody Kremer was originally from Orlando, Florida, and after graduating from Troy University, got his start in coaching at Lee County High School with freshman defensive back football, and the JV baseball team.

In addition to baseball, Kremer will also serve as the tight end coach for BHS football. According to Kremer, who previously coached for Worth County, he was put in contact with BHS by an acquaintance, Blake Cecil.

“He knew I was at Worth County… He knew I was looking to possibly go somewhere else,” Kremer said.

So far, he has met most of the teams. When asked if he had any plans or ideas for both upcoming seasons, Kremer simply responded, “We’re looking to reach our potential and play our best ball at the end of the year. We’re gonna play to the best of our potential, whatever that may be.”
