If you want to try and predict the future in college football, the best way to go about it would be to start making yourself an expert in the world of recruiting.

At ESPN , their recruiting experts think the future is bright for UCF — the worldwide leader in sports has the Knights’ 2025 recruiting class labeled as the best in the Big 12 Conference and No. 21 in the nation.

UCF was one of four Big 12 programs to make ESPN’s Top 40, followed by No. 22 TCU, No. 33 Kansas State and No. 35 Baylor.

UCF’s top recruit so far is Osceola (Fla.) High School running back Taevion Swint. After rushing for 1,666 yards and 20 touchdowns in 2022, Swint only played 6 games in 2023 due to a knee injury but still ran for 602 yards and 8 touchdowns while averaging 8.1 yards per carry.

From ESPN: “The Knights have recruited well with their transition to the Big 12 under Gus Malzahn and are in the mix for one of the top classes in the conference. They're leaning on a deep pool of surrounding talent in the Southeast. In-state running back Swint has a compact, sturdy build with good lateral quickness and vision. He has rushed for over 2,000 yards over the past two seasons.”
