An Osceola County man is dead after a car crash in a construction zone.

The crash happened just after midnight on Interstate 4 Westbound mile marker 72, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

FHP said a 25-year-old Kissimmee man in a 2024 Hyundai Elantra was traveling from Sand Lake Road through an active construction lane closure.

An unoccupied truck was parked in that zone facing south at mile marker 72.

The driver didn’t see the truck and crashed into it, according to FHP.

The impact caused the driver to be partially ejected from the Elantra.

First responders pronounced him dead on the scene.

    The crash remains under investigation.
