Wet weather the theme for Monday with some areas receiving ‘excessive rainfall’

Rainy and cloudy conditions will be persistent throughout the day.

The slight risk for excessive rainfall is mainly east of Orlando and includes much of the coast.

Breezy to gusty northeast winds are expected, especially along the coast, according to NWS Melbourne.

There is a chance for minor flooding, particularly near the coast.

There is a flood watch in effect and a small craft advisory.

A high risk of rip currents exists at all area beaches.
