Orange County man dies from likely stepping on downed power line, Sheriff’s Office says

An Orange County man died after apparently stepping on a downed power line while cleaning up debris from Hurricane Milton, according to the Orange County Sheriff’s Office.

Orange deputies found a man in his 60s deceased in his yard around 5 p.m. Thursday at the 6600 block of Pine Island Place. A statement from the agency says it is believed the man stepped on a downed power line while cleaning debris from the storm.
