    Premieres Wednesday:

Ancient Apocalypse: The Americas — Keanu Reeves signs on as the co-host to controversial (read: crackpot) theorist Graham Hancock for Season 2, which focuses on extinct civilizations that may or may not have existed in New Mexico, Brazil and Peru. I'm pretty sure whoever falls for this claptrap knows a whole lot about what comes out of Peru. (Netflix)

Are You Smarter Than a Celebrity? — Travis Kelce hosts this spinoff, which substitutes comedians, reality stars and sports figures for fifth-graders as the intellectual paragons to which we all should aspire. And if it's still too highbrow for the mass audience, the next iteration will bring in a bunch of libertarians. (Prime Video)

I Am a Killer — Season 5 introduces us to a fresh batch of convicted murderers with an intriguing set of alibis and self-justifications. I'm just waiting for the day when "I needed to prioritize my mental health" becomes a legitimate defense for homicide. Get on it, Chappell! (Netflix)

Justice — A disgraced Polish cop is promised reinstatement to the force if he brings in a cadre of bank robbers. And if he gets them to confess, the bonus is a set of pierogi knives. (Netflix)

Nemesis — Intrepid financial investigators root out tax crimes at the upper levels of Dutch society, barely realizing how firmly entrenched the corruption really is. The first red flag was when Goldmember got heavy into Dogecoin. (Hulu)

Shrinking — Series co-creator Brett Goldstein joins the cast in Season 2, though the role he's playing is being kept closely under wraps. See, if I could write myself into my own show, I'd probably make myself Gandalf. Just throwing that out there. (Apple TV+)

Sweet Bobby: My Catfish Nightmare — In this shocking documentary, a London woman strikes up an online relationship with a man she believes to be a member of her own Sikh community. But after eight years of no direct contact, she begins to have her doubts. Hey, eight years is a whirlwind courtship for the English. (Netflix)

    Premieres Thursday:

Gundam: Requiem for Vengeance — Human combatants in "mobile suits" fight it out on the front lines in a futuristic anime that pits a rebellious European district against a unified Earth government. Given the unwavering commitment we've been showing to our allies recently, can you really blame them? (Netflix)

The Lincoln Lawyer — New characters in Season 3 include a judge whose background as a public defender makes her a more liberal-minded presence on the bench. She'll still put you behind bars for weed, but she'll make sure your cellmate is society itself. (Netflix)

Outside — A Filipino family tries to avoid a zombie apocalypse, but their patriarch's mental-health issues may prove to be just as much of a challenge. Because when some undead ghoul is gnawing on your femur, the last thing you're in the mood for is a good dad joke. (Netflix)

The Pradeeps of Pittsburgh — Naveen Andrews of Lost stars in a sitcom about an Indian family that emigrates to the heart of blue-collar America. Welcome to the flyovers, guys! Hope you like dog! (Prime Video)

The Shadow Strays — A 17-year-old Indonesian assassin defies her mentor to mount a daring rescue of an even younger boy. Perfect for fans of: Léon: the Professional ; Lone Wolf and Cub ; Keeping Up With the Katanas. (Netflix)

    Premieres Friday:

Culte — A cast of actors dramatizes the making of Loft Story , the French Big Brother adaptation that became a national disgrace due to its overall crassness. See, this was before the world decided mortifying reality stars shouldn't be shunned, and should get the nuclear codes instead. (Prime Video)

The Devil's Hour Season 2 — Back after two years, the highly metaphysical British thriller now finds reality-surfing single mom Lucy (Jessica Raine) and precognitive criminal Gideon (Peter Capaldi) trying to solve the puzzle of a rampaging monster. Honestly, if you have ESP and you can't solve a mystery with a two-year head start, that's where I begin to lose all sympathy. (Prime Video)

Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives — Season 3 augments the main cast with new arrivals like New Delhi jewelry designer Riddhima Kapoor. It's always so illuminating to learn how other cultures say "rank whore." (Netflix)

Fanatical: The Catfishing of Tegan and Sara — The indie pop duo try to determine the true extent of the damage caused by a hacker who impersonated them online for more than 10 years. Boy, do Trapt wish they had hit on that excuse! (Hulu)

Happiness Is — As she turns 40, a successful South African woman has reason to reflect that her life has gifted her with everything but a man to share her blessings with. In other words, everything! (Netflix)

MadS — Shot in either one take or five (depending on whom you believe), this twisty shocker charts the panic of a French kid as he tries to figure out whether a strange woman just killed herself in his car, or if it was all merely a drug-induced hallucination. (This is what J.D. Vance wonders every time he finds eyeliner in his glove compartment.) (Shudder)

The Man Who Loved UFOs — Here's a biopic of Argentinian "journalist" José de Zer, who in 1986 managed to convince his nation that some burnt pastures were evidence of alien activity. ScreenDaily says the film is cute but "lacks bite," so you know what that means: They're in on it! (Netflix)

The Office Australia — Felicity Ward of the failed Time Bandits reboot headlines the 13th regional edition of the Gervais/Carell juggernaut, playing a branch manager who defies a work-from-home order to keep her office family together. Deadline calls Ward the show's "first-ever female lead," which I think means we're about to learn something shocking about Catherine Tate. (Prime Video)

Woman of the Hour — Anna Kendrick directed herself in this story of a struggling actress who was paired up with a serial killer on an episode of The Dating Game. Makes you wonder what was so wrong with Bachelors One and Two — male vocal fry? (Netflix)

    Premieres Tuesday:

Hasan Minhaj: Off With His Head — In his third stand-up special, Minhaj clears up some of the creative exaggerations he made in his last one, including his claim that exposure to mailed anthrax sent his daughter to the hospital. Actually, it was just a free sample of Gold Bond that Amazon sent to the wrong house, but what parent doesn't recognize the emotional truth behind that kind of close shave? (Netflix)
