    Cape Cod Baseball League roundup: Bucciero's two home runs leads Orleans to win

    Daniel Bucciero (Fordham) only had two hits (five RBIs, two runs) but they both left the park for Orleans (12-21) as they beat Falmouth (13-19) 10-8 on Friday. Stetson's Landon Moran (one hit, two runs, one RBI, one walk) also had a home run, while Northwestern's Bennett Markinson collected two hits (three RBIs) at the plate. Miles Gosztola (Gonzaga) remained unbeaten (3-0) on the mound as he went 1 2/3 scoreless innings, allowed one hit, one walk and struck out two.

    Jack Bell (Texas A&M) had two hits (three RBIs, one run), while Donovan LaSalle (Oklahoma State) chipped in two RBIs and two runs scored for Falmouth (13-19). Oklahoma's Scott Mudler (one run, one RBi) recorded one triple, and Texas Christian's Karson Bowen (one run, one RBI) added a double. Cisneros (Central Oklahoma) threw one, allowed one hit, gave up three runs (two earned), and walked two with nor strikeouts for this first loss.

    In other Cape League action:

    Bourne Braves 8, Cotuit Kettleers 1

    Coastal California's Blake Barthol (one hit, two RBIs, one run, one walk) and Vanderbilt's Braden Holcomb (three hits, five RBIs, one run) each hit a home run for Bourne (16-16). Camden Kozeal (Vanderbilt) added two hits and three RBIs, while Bissetta added one double and one RBI. Griffin Hugus (Cincinnati) picked up his first win on the mound as he pitched three scoreless and hitless innings, walked none and struck out three.

    Max Belyeu (Texas) led the Kettleers (20-11) with two hits at the plate, while Tanner Thach (UNC Wilmington) had the only RBI. Starter Joey Volchko (Stanford) lost his first on the mound as he scattered five hits, allowed two runs, walked two and struck out eight.

    Hyannis Harbor Hawks 3, Brewster Whitecaps 2

    The Harbor Hawks (19-13) scored three runs in the top of the sixth inning, which was ll they needed for the win, despite having three hits as a team. Eddy Pelc (Grand Canyon) led the way with two RBIs, and Michael Dattalo (Dallas Baptist) added one RBI.

    Aaron Mishoulam (Michigan State) won his first game on the mound as he went 1 2/3 scoreless innings, gave up three hits, walked two and struck out two. Joe Steeber (Texas-Arlington) had his first save as he went one inning, allowed two hits, and gave up two runs with no walks or strikeouts.

    The Whitecaps (12-20) attempted a late comeback with two runs in the bottom of the ninth inning. Kaeden Kent (Texas A&M) led the way with a two-run homer, while Daniel Cuvet (Miami) had two hits at the plate. Andrew Koshy (Wake Forest) recorded his first loss and threw 1/3 innings, scattered one hit, gave up three runs, walked two and struck out one.

    Harwich Mariners 6, Wareham Gatemen 3

    Seton Hall's Aiden Robbins (two runs, one RBI) and Rhode Island's Michael Anderson (one run) each three hits, while Maryland's Aden Hill (two hits, one RBI) and Florida's Cade Kurkland (three RBIs, one walk) each added one double for Harwich (12-22). Blake Morningstar (Wake Forest) recorded his first win on the mound as he pitched 3 /23 innings, gave up two hits, allowed one run, walked none, and struck out six.

    Tennessee's Reese Chapman (one homer, one double two runs, two RBIs) and San Diego State's Colby Turner (one double) each collected two hits, while Eli Putnam (Davidson) contributed one double for Wareham (20-13). Starter Cole Leaman (Lehigh) fell to 1-3 as he pitched three innings, allowed four hits, gave up two runs, walked one and struck out two.

    Y-D Red Sox 9, Chatham Anglers 8

    Oregon's Carter Garate (two hits, one RBI, one run, one walk) singled on a bunt ground ball that scored Skylar King (West Virginia) for the winning run for Y-D (21-9). Oklahoma's Easton Carmichael (three RBIs, two run) and Stanford's Charlie Saum (three RBIs, one run) each hit a home run, while UC Irvine's Anthony Martinez (one RBI, one run) and South Carolina's Ethan Petry (one run) each had two hits.

    Marko Siplia (Colorado Springs) recored his first win on the mound as he went 2 2/3 scoreless innings, allowed two hits with no walks and struck out five.

    Grayson JC's Chayton Krauss led the way with four hits (two RBIs, one run, one double), while UC Irvine's Will Bermudez (two runs, one double, one RBI) and Auburn's Ike Irish (one run) each contributed two hits for Chatham (16-17). Jacob Heath lost his first on the mound as he threw 3 1/3 innings, scattered four hits, allowed one run, walked one and struck out four.
