NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - Jeffrey Vappie’s application to join a local police officers organization was rejected days before he retired from the New Orleans Police Department. Vappie applied last month for membership in the Fraternal Order of Police’s Crescent City Lodge No. 2. The organization represents more than 1,800 active and retired NOPD officers in workplace disputes, civil service matters and legislative lobbying.
