MONTGOMERY, Ala. — A Montgomery County Circuit Judge Wednesday dismissed a lawsuit against a new law plaintiffs said could prevent them from voting. The dismissal came after Alabama Attorney General Steve Marshall issued guidance that the law – which expands the number of crimes that can cost a person their right to vote – would not go into effect until after the November election.
