OSAGE COUNTY –Law enforcement authorities are investigating a suspect on drug allegations. Just after 4:30 p.m. June 12, an Osage County Sheriff’s K-9 unit conducted a traffic stop on U.S. 75 Highway for a traffic violation, according to Sheriff Chris Wells. During the stop, illegal narcotics were located.

Topeka man arrested following traffic stop in Osage County Monday
A traffic stop in Osage County led to the arrest of a Topeka man on drug and traffic charges Monday. According to Osage County Sheriff Chris Wells, an Osage County Sheriff’s K-9 unit conducted a traffic stop on US Highway 75 at milepost 140 for an alleged traffic violation around 4:40 pm. During the stop, illegal narcotics were allegedly found inside the vehicle driven by 59-year-old James R. Wright of Topeka.
