Postal clerk Gerri Surritte retires
Osage County is the sort of small town and rural environment where residents know their postal workers by name and honor them when they retire. A little over three years ago, Pawhuskans thanked a letter carrier named Harry Marsh, also known as “Postman Harry,” for his service as he departed the U.S. Postal Service. August 31 of last year, Clarence “Butch” Reynolds, who was also widely known as a youth sports game official, retired from the post office. Mr. Reynolds was chosen to be the parade marshal for the 2023 Pawhuska Parade of Lights (the Christmas parade).
Man Injured in Osage County DUI Crash
A Mounds man was injured in a single-vehicle crash early Monday morning near Osage Casino-Tulsa in Osage County. The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says 57-year-old Ricky Lee Hulvey was driving a 2023 Ford Transit on North Osage Drive when he failed to stop at a stop sign, crossing all lanes of Apache Street, and then hit a curb, causing the vehicle to go airborne. The vehicle also hit a bush before coming to a full stop.
