OSHKOSH – Oshkosh Area School District is short one board member.

The OASD Board of Education is accepting applications from eligible residents following the recent resignation of Liz Szilagyi.

Szilagyi was first elected five years ago and was slated to serve on the board until the next regular election in April 2025, but resigned at the June 12 regular board meeting after accepting an out-of-state employment opportunity.

“On behalf of the Oshkosh Area School District, I want to thank Ms. Szilagyi for her service to our schools and community,” wrote OASD Superintendent of Schools Bryan Davis.

“We are grateful for her invaluable voice on our board, and her tireless work to support our students, staff, and schools,” Davis added.

Interested candidates can submit a résumé and cover letter hand-delivered or via email at Elizabeth.wyman@oshkosh.k12.wi.us.

The appointed candidate will serve until the next regular election in April 2025.
