    North erases early deficit, defeats South 31-13 in WFCA Small School All-Star Game

    OSHKOSH — The North team defeated the South 31-13 in the Wisconsin Football Coaches Association (WFCA) Small School All-Star Game held at UW-Oshkosh on Saturday.

    Johnson Creek offensive tackle Cole Schwartz represented the area on the South squad.

    The South offense finished the game with 204 passing yards while being held to just 27 rushing yards.

    Horicon/Hustisford's Carter Schwartz directed the offense to a second touchdown in the first quarter when he threw a 23-yard pass to Brodhead/Juda’s Gunner Boegli, which gave the South a 13-0 lead.

    The North responded with 31 unanswered points.

    Schwartz completed 10-of-16 passes for 96 yards and one touchdown while throwing two interceptions, including one which was returned 32 yards for a score to give the North its first lead, 17-13, with 1 minute, 57 seconds remaining in the third quarter.

    The North finished the game with 326 yards of total offense, including 197 on the ground.
