Seasonal temps come with plenty of sunshine through the weekend
GILLETTE, Wyo. — Summertime is in full swing in Gillette, accompanied by sunny, mostly clear skies and seasonal temps. The National Weather Service has forecast a high of 88 today under mostly sunny skies. There’ll be a cooler breeze coming in from the north at 8–15 mph with gusts as high as 21 mph. That wind will stick around through the day and into tonight as the low drops to 60 under mostly clear skies.

GILLETTE, Wyo. — From Thursday to Saturday, Gillette is offering multiple free and fundraising events to enjoy. Thursday, July 18, Downtown Thursday Nights continues at 3rd Street Plaza. The free event highlighting artist Devon Worley will take place from 6 to 9 p.m. The six-week concert series will feature a kids zone, food carts and more fun for all ages.
Green River’s 2nd “Street Eats” food truck event is tonight
Expedition Island will once again host “Street Eats on the Green,” a family-friendly food truck evening. Tonight’s event, put on by the Green River Parks and Recreation Department, will run from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. This event, now in its second iteration this summer, offers free entry and promises a delightful evening of food, music, and community. Kum and Gone — Maverik Rebranding of Kum and Go Stores Set for September
ROCK SPRINGS – The Kum & Go brand will see its final days in Rock Springs in early September with closures scheduled to renovate the convenience stores to the Maverik brand. According to a schedule published on Maverik’s website, the three Rock Springs Kum & Go locations will close during the second week of September. The first closure will take place at the Elk Street location, which will close Sept. 9. The 9th Street location closes the next day, while the Foothill Boulevard location is set to close Sept. 11.
