OSSIAN, Ind. (WANE) — What is more American than seeing a bald eagle on the Fourth of July?

How about seeing two of them.

On Thursday, Derrick McKibben had two bald eagles fly into his father’s backyard in Ossian and shared video of the encounter with WANE 15 Friday.

The nearly 5-minute video shows the pair of birds sit on the ground while one of them appears to grab a fish from the pond.

The bald eagle became the national symbol of the U.S. in 1782, according to the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service.
