Developed by Park Tower Group and Rockefeller Group, the company’s first project in Brooklyn, The Dupont will offer 381 apartments, a vast majority of which will have incredible East River and Manhattan skyline views. New Yorkers earning 80 and 130 percent of the area median income can apply for the units, priced from $1,782/month for studios to $4,001/month for two-bedrooms.

Owner Francesco Realmuto, who also owns Filaga Pizzeria and L’Arte del Gelato in Manhattan has tapped Giuseppe Zito to lead the bakery — a decorated pastry chef who has been a world champion for his panettone. On the sweet side expect bomboloni, cannoli, and more. There’s a full-service lunch and dinner component by Mauro Campanale, who also relocated to New York for the role, that includes several handmade pastas and other entries, as well as savory pastries like salted cod macarons and fava bean and pecorino tarts. By night, there will eventually be apertivi options as well. The space — decorated to look like a “vibrant indoor Italian piazza” seats around 50, according to a spokesperson.
