Gilford High School class of 2024 graduation celebrated at BankNH Pavilion
Gilford High School held commencement for the graduating class of 2024 at BankNH Pavilion in Gilford on Friday evening. The graduating class of 117 students was celebrated by an estimated that over 2,000 people who attended the ceremony. Valedictorian Millicent Caldon gave an address, as well as salutatorian Madelyn McKenna. The keynote address was given by Gilford High business teacher Steve O'Riordan.

First things first, have you been to BankNH Pavilion in Gilford, New Hampshire? I can't help but refer to this venue by its original name, Meadowbrook, from when it first opened in 1996. I also consider it to be my favorite live music venue in the Northeast. The top-notch sound, the elevated stage (that makes it impossible to find a bad seat in the house), the large selection of food/drink vendors, and the pre-concert scene (if you're a fan of tailgating) is always a good time, with fans grilling, playing games, and gearing up for the night.
Police charge one person in connection with handgun shot into floor at Weirs bar
LACONIA — Police have charged one person in connection to an incident where one round from a handgun was fired into the floor at The Big House nightclub last month. Charles S. Anzaldi Jr., 24, of Concord, turned himself in to the Laconia Police Department on Thursday afternoon following the issuing of a warrant for his arrest, Chief Matt Canfield said.
