FULTON – April 12, 2024, Joyce Parkhurst, 75, of Fulton passed away peacefully Friday, April 12, 2024 at home with her loving family by her side. Joyce was born in Oswego on August 21, 1948 to Herbert and B. Jean Harke Dunn and was a graduate of Mexico Academy, Class of 1966. She retired from Price Chopper Supermarket in Fulton where she was employed as a cashier for 26 years and was known for her friendly smile and outgoing personality. She was a member of the former Granby Center United Methodist Church where she sang in the choir and after their closing became a member of the Bowens Corners United Methodist Church where she served as secretary of the board. Joyce loved music and musical theater, tending to her flower gardens and watching hummingbirds from her bird feeders.

PHOENIX, NY – Joan M. Clark, age 90 of Fulton, NY formerly of Phoenix, NY and Winter Haven, FL, passed away peacefully at home with her family by her side on Wednesday, April 10, 2024. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Donald I Clark; her son, Donald “Gary” Clark and his wife Gloria Clark; her siblings, Elizabeth Mielnicki, Gordon Adsit, and John Adsit; grandsons,Jake Harrington and David Clark; and great-grandson, Daniel Catherman.

FULTON – Denise Munger, 68, of Fulton passed away peacefully on April 10, 2024, at St. Joseph’s Hospital surrounded by her family. Denise was born in Syracuse on December 15th, 1955 to to Vernon and Fern (Cronk) Gebo. The family later moved to Fulton where Denise would graduate from G. Ray Bodley High School in 1973. During her teen years she belonged to Gauchos Drum and Bugle Corps which in her adult years, she would speak fondly of her memories of that time.

When I was a child I traveled with my family to the 1000 Islands region in the summers, by way of the St. Lawrence Seaway Trail. My grandfather used to sing to us as we drove down the long hill to the 5-corners intersection – “Os-we-go into the wild blue yonder, Os-we-go into the sea!” A couple times we were lucky enough to stop for breakfast at the diner where Scoops is now. Great memories – I had no idea I would one day come to call Oswego ‘my community’.

On 4/5/24 at 6:06 p.m., Christopher M. Saxe, 41, of Hannibal was arrested for Assault, 3rd degree; Criminal Obstruction of Breathing and Aggravated Family Offense, a class E felony following an incident in the Town of Hannibal. Mr. Saxe was arraigned in CAP Court.
