How nice to be free of the cult-like rhetoric coming from Barclay’s office on these pages. It’s been over a month (2/11/24) since his pre-scripted bashing of anything from the other side has appeared here. Any day now, his office will get back in the game and submit a garbage-filled manifesto proclaiming (with ample adjectives like “suppressive”, “non-sensical”, “burdensome” , etc, ad nauseum) that his supporters can feed upon. At one of his Town Halls, when I asked him to please ease up on the bombastic language, his response was “You don’t think the other side would do the same thing?”, showing how infantile his character/office really is.

County Of Oswego IDA Awarded $2.787 Million For Novelis Oswego Rail Project
Governor Kathy Hochul recently announced that the County of Oswego Industrial Development Agency (IDA) was the recipient of a $2.787 million dollar grant from the New York State Department of Transportation Passenger and Freight Rail Assistance Program (PFRAP). The funding will be used to make rail improvements on-site at the Novelis plant in Scriba including realigning the curvature of the existing track and turnouts on-site to accommodate longer railcars as well as reactivating a section of dormant track so workers can move railcars more efficiently. Novelis will also replace two high emission railcar movers with newer more efficient ones. The $3.5 million total project cost will allow Novelis to reduce the number of tractor-trailer loads of aluminum, mostly coming from Canada, by about 5,000 loads a year. The project is expected to create 4 new jobs and support the retention of the 1,200+ manufacturing jobs at the Oswego area plant.

FULTON – March 10, 2024, Lisa E. Williams, 42, of Fulton, NY, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, March 10, 2024, at home. She was born in Oswego, a daughter to Robert C. McCarthy and Kathleen A. Harman. Lisa was a graduate of Oswego High School and had earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from SUNY Oswego. She was a pre-school teacher for the SUNY Oswego daycare, Oswego and Fulton YMCAs for many years and had recently worked as the Employment Services Assistant Manager for Oswego Industries.
