Successful Drone Recovery Effort Locates Missing Vulnerable Person
FULTON – On February 12th, 2024, at approximately 6:25 pm, a vulnerable person was reported missing by his family. Recognizing the urgency of the situation and the need for additional resources, the Desk Officer in Charge quickly mobilized a City of Fulton drone operator to assist in the search and rescue effort. The drone was deployed around 7:50 pm to cover an area of wooded terrain around the 600 block of Gansvoort Street. By using the thermal imaging feature, the drone operator was able to locate the vulnerable person within the wooded area around 8:12 pm, and directed ground units to his location. The vulnerable person was found to be in good health and was assisted out of the woods by officers and reunited with his family.

FULTON – February 10, 2024, Kathleen Belle Myers, 95, of Fulton passed away Saturday, February 10, 2024 at Oswego Hospital. She was born September 8, 1928 in Fulton to Franklyn and Aleta Bellinger Bartlett. Kathleen had been employed at Hunter Arms and Sealright prior to dedicating her time to raise her children. Kathleen enjoyed crocheting and made hundreds of beautiful items as gifts for her family. She enjoyed “cruising” going to garage sales which was a family trait. Kathleen and her sisters were members of the Red Hat Society and never passed up an opportunity to dress up for the holidays. Kathleen enjoyed many family gatherings to share food, stories and pictures. She was a fantastic cook and known for her famous homemade rolls.
