The Fulton Memorial Day Salute Committee Announces Major Sponsor
The Fulton Memorial Day Salute Committee has announced that the City of Fulton is a major sponsor of this year’s Memorial Day Salute to be held on Friday May 24th and Saturday, May 25th at the Fulton Community Center. The theme for the celebration will be “HONOR AND REMEMBER”. David Ormsby, Veteran of the Year, will serve as Grand Marshall of the Saturday parade. The Memorial Day Salute is a cooperative effort of Fulton’s service clubs, the Kiwanis, Lions, Noon and Sunrise Rotary Clubs. Seeking Volunteers to Assist a Special Project to Aid Emerald Ash Borer Biocontrol Efforts in Oswego, NY
OSWEGO COUNTY – Volunteers are needed to assist a special project occurring at the SUNY Oswego Rice Creek Field Station. The purpose of this project is to determine if biocontrol species that have been deployed at the site to naturally suppress populations of the invasive emerald ash borers have become established.

On 5/11/24 at 8:39 p.m., Terrance D. Doctor, 35, of Oswego was arrested based on an Arrest Warrant issued out of Oswego County Family Court. Mr. Doctor was arraigned in CAP Court.

SARASOTA, FL – Thomas Fremont Fadden, 78, passed away May 11, 2024 in Sarasota, Florida. He was born in Oswego, New York to the late Fremont and Thusa (Martin) Fadden. Thomas graduated with a teaching degree from SUNY Morrisville and SUNY Oswego. He taught automotive technology for a few years and later retired from NRG Steam Station in Oswego, New York as a specialized welder and craftsman. After retirement, he moved to Saratoga Springs and wintered in Florida.

Tracy attended Fulton Schools and after high school, he enrolled in an Optometry program in Liverpool, NY and completed an internship with Empire Vision. He later worked as a fusion operator for Eagle Comtronics for 25 years. Tracy loved movies, especially Star Wars and Star Trek. He would collect movie memorabilia, transformers, and kitchen gadgets. Tracy especially loved spending time having a few drinks with his family and friends.
