Out-of-State Teams to Receive $1,000 Minimum to Start Novelis Supermodified Feature on Saturday, July 20
OSWEGO – Oswego Speedway is excited to announce a special incentive for out-of-state teams participating in the two-day Super Spectacle this weekend, July 19 and 20. Any team from outside New York State that competes in Saturday night’s Novelis Oswego Supermodified feature with the same car used on Friday will be guaranteed $1,000 to start.
GTR Promotions to Award $500 to Two-Day J&S Paving 350 Super Points Champion at Oswego’s Super Spectacle
OSWEGO – This weekend, the J&S Paving 350 Supermodified division will compete in a high-stakes two-day event at Oswego Speedway. The ‘Super Spectacle’ Weekend highlights a generous contribution from GTR Promotions’ Jody London, who is the promoter of the Classic Weekend Super Stock, Sport Compacts, and Sportsman Modified events.

Donna was a loving and caring homemaker and mother to her two daughters. She deeply loved her daughters and adored her grandchildren. Donna was kind, easy-going, and wasn’t judgemental. She got along with everyone she met. She was also a strong person who took everything in stride, and was sometimes a bit stubborn even! Donna loved the outdoors and always kept her bird feeders full so she could bird watch. She also loved her cats and her dog dearly.

Oswego High School Places First In Oswego County Envirothon
The Oswego County Legislature’s Economic Development and Planning Committee presented a certificate of recognition to students from Oswego High School as the winning team of the 32nd annual Oswego County Envirothon during the June meeting of the full Legislature. This year’s competition took place at Camp Zerbe in Williamstown. The team went on to place 10th out of 41 teams at the New York State Envirothon competition at SUNY Cortland in Cortland, N.Y. Coordinated by the Oswego County Soil and Water Conservation District, the hands-on outdoor competition tests students’ knowledge of natural resources such as aquatics, forestry, soil and land use, wildlife and current environmental issues. Milferd Roy Darling
FULTON – March 28, 2024, Milferd Roy Darling, age 77, formerly of Hannibal New York, passed away March 28, 2024, in Ocala Florida. Milferd was born in Oswego NY to parents Nelson and Juanita Darling on January 9, 1947. He went to high school at Hannibal Central School and graduated in 1965. He earned an associate’s degree in Agronomy from the State University of New York at Delhi. He worked as an Ameriprise financial planner and Christmas Tree farmer at his Darling Christmas Tree Farm in Hannibal NY. He enjoyed farming, gardening, and was an avid motorcycle, snowmobile, and car enthusiast.
