Post Falls approves Seltice Way road rehabilitation
POST FALLS, Idaho — A project to update the pipeline along Seltice Way between McGuire and Chase roads was approved by the Post Falls City Council on Tuesday. Andrew Arbini, projects division manager for the Post Falls public works department, said the pavement in that area is in poor condition. He said interim repairs including patching provided a temporary fix to get the roadway through another season.

NEW YORK (AP) — Former U.S. Rep. George Santos has lost a bid to get rid of part of the criminal case against him as he heads toward trial on charges that include defrauding campaign donors. U.S. District Joanna Seybert turned down Santos’ request Friday. He was seeking the dismissal of charges of aggravated identity theft and theft of public money — in all, three of the 23 charges against him. The judge wrote that the indictment met the legal bar for the charges in question. Prosecutors and Santos’ lawyers declined to comment.
Arson deemed cause of overnight fire at car wash on Spokane's South Hill
SPOKANE, Wash. — Fire crews responded to an early morning fire at a car wash connected to the Conoco gas station located in the 4500 block of South Regal Street. Investigators say the fire started outside the building and then made its way into a wall. Once the fire was in the wall it spread to the car wash. Firefighters say they were able to control the fire in around 40 minutes. According to a release, most of the fire was in voids of the wall between the exterior brick veneer and heavy-gauge metal sheathing on the interior.
