Wayland Woman Wanted for Skipping Federal Sentencing Hearing

On Saturday, July 27, WOOD-TV reported that federal warrants have been issued for the arrest of Leticia Gallarzo after she failed to show for sentencing this week at US District Court in Grand Rapids. She had pled guilty last November to charges of making a false statement in a medical record affecting a health care benefit, and aggravated identity theft. Gallarzo had faced up to five years in prison on the first charge, and a mandatory two additional years for aggravated identity theft.
