Erbert and Gerbert’s gets go-ahead in Otsego

A conditional use permit amendment to allow an Erbert and Gerbert’s sandwich shop to locate inside the Otsego Coborn’s store has been approved by the Otsego City Council.

The City Council voted March 11 to approve the amendment to allow a convenience food restaurant with drive-through service. The measure passed 5-0 without discussion as part of the council’s consent agenda.

Erbert and Gerbert’s is planned for the space inside Coborn’s that was previously occupied as a pharmacy. The pharmacy closed recently, merging with neighboring Coborn’s pharmacies in Albertville, Big Lake, Elk River and Ramsey.

Coborn’s has said that the restaurant will feature dine-in, pick-up, and drive-through services.
