Kan. woman among 7 indicted for $20M embezzlement scheme
TOPEKA—A federal grand jury in Kansas returned an indictment this week charging seven defendants, including five current and former high-level officers of the International Brotherhood of Boilermakers, Iron Ship Builders, Blacksmith, Forgers and Helpers (Boilermakers Union) for their alleged roles in a 15-year, $20 million embezzlement scheme, according to the United State's Attorney.
Alleged arson and DWI lead to charges for Purdin resident
A Purdin man has been charged with two felonies following an alleged attempt to set fire to a house in Chillicothe on August 22. Overland Park-based Black & Veatch has sold its public carrier wireless telecommunications infrastructure business for $150 million. Dycom Industries, Inc., announced it acquired the business in a strategic move to address growth opportunities in wireless network modernization, according to a release.
