Sheriff Updates Status of Search for Missing Henning Man
Henning, MN – The Otter Tail County Sheriff’s Office continues to search for Robert “Bob” Shaw of Rural Henning. Bob Shaw is believed to have walked away from his residence on State Highway 29 south of State Highway 210 on Saturday June 22nd at approximately 6 in the morning.
Fire under investigation
A shed fire on July 1, near Little McDonald Lake, is under investigation by the Otter Tail County Sheriff’s Office.
Part of Highway 6 Closed Due to Flooding
Highway 6 west of Parkers Prairie closed due to water over road June 28, 2024 – Following an estimated three to five inches of rain overnight across southern Otter Tail County, the Highway Department announces the temporary closure of Highway 6 between Resser Road and Highway 65 at Nelson Lake. Access is limited to adjacent residents until further notice. The Highway Department continues to inspect and monitor other high-water locations throughout the county.
Man is injured in a crash Wednesday in Otter Tail County
(Otter Tail County, MN)--One person is injured following a crash on Wednesday in Otter Tail County. The Minnesota State Patrol says the crash took place near Perham. A Chevrolet Trailblazer was traveling southbound on Hwy. 78 when it collided with a Chevrolet Silverado that was also traveling southbound on Hwy. 78. The driver of the Silverado, Theodore Kunza, 74, of Perham, suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

Otter Tail County Safe Communities Coalition’s “Click it for Coffee” Campaign Success
Otter Tail County recently saw success with the “Click it for Coffee” campaign, part of the National Click It or Ticket enforcement awareness effort from May 20 to June 2. The campaign aimed to boost seat belt usage by offering $1 off orders at two local coffee shops, Nest in Perham and Perk’s Coffee and Tea in Fergus Falls, for those wearing seat belts in the drive-through.
