AMES, Iowa — Sondra Wilson claims that the state denied her Medicaid coverage for her gender reassignment surgery. Wilson doesn’t have a law degree, but is representing herself in this case. Northside Diner is only open for lunch, but they are soon opening for dinner too: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday:10:30 am-3:00 pm. They are closed on Wednesdays and Sundays. East Washington Auto Wash is open 24 hours, 7 days a week, and Walmart has all of your household or outdoor items and groceries. Jacob’s Radar: Wildfire smoke staying just west of KC
Over 1 million acres have been burned by wildfires so far this year, according to the National Interagency Fire Center. There are currently 60 large fires active nationwide, with 10 new fires in the last few days. Just like the last several summers, widespread smoke from these wildfires is impacting parts of the Plains and Midwest. However, for now the smoke plume is just northwest of the Kansas City region.
