The popular 'Bright Nights' event at Denver's Four Mile Historic Park is set to return this summer, bringing 'larger-than-life' artistry to the destination. And those who caught the show last year should know that this year will bring an entirely new collection of installations to the Mile High City.

The event is centered around glowing lantern installations, including a "mythical dragon that blows smoke, Colorado wildlife and flowers, a crystal forest with unicorns, and creatures from Chinese mythology."

The event bills itself as "the only opportunity to experience a Tianyu festival in the Mountain West," with these events known for their stunning lantern and light displays.

There's a VIP night on July 18, and the show will open to the public on July 19, set to operate Wednesday through Sunday until September 29.

Proceeds from the installation's 11-week-long stint will help pay for the care of animals at the park, as well as for maintaining the oldest standing structure in Denver – the park's Four Mile House.

“These are all new installations; nothing is repeated from last year,” said Jennifer LaGraff, CEO of Four Mile. “The lanterns must be seen to be believed — it’s a stunning display of artistry, especially in the interactive area. We’ve increased that section, and it’s everything you can play with or touch: swings, seesaws, drums, musical instruments. And no one should miss the Colorado wildlife section. Picture giant bears, large columbine flowers, there’s even a rattlesnake. Four Mile is where imagination glows to life this summer!”

General admission adult tickets are priced at $25, with kids tickets priced at $15 (age three to 12). Various deals and discounts can be found on the park's website .
