Colorado Springs folk music festival to feature local bands, silent disco, and more

A popular folk music festival is coming back to Colorado Springs, and this year, it's headed to the heart of downtown.

Outdoor recreation-focused non-profit UpaDowna's Folk 'N' Flannel Festival and Fundraiser returns on the weekend of September 20 to 21, set to take place at the Meanwhile Block property that's adjacent to Widner Field.

This family-friendly all-ages event will feature live music, a silent disco, a scavenger hunt, a petting zoo, a pumpkin patch, crafts, a pie eating contest, a beer garden, local vendors, and more.

The event kicks off with a Silent Disco on Friday, September 20 that will feature three DJs spinning folk music, throwback tunes, and classics.

The follow day features a wide variety of activities from 4 to 11 p.m., with a key draw being the many local bands that will take the stage. The current line-up includes the John Spengler Band, Tenderfoot Bluegrass, Ben Garcia, Pocket Sauce, and Anna Grace.

Tickets are already available – $20 for Friday and $30 for Saturday, with other various combo passes offered that include activity passes, drink tickets, and more.
