Offering one of the best opportunities to experience fall in a family-friendly way, Colorado's corn mazes can't be missed.

Here are eight corn mazes to explore around Colorado this season:

    1. Botanic Gardens at Chatfield Field Farms

    Date: Fridays - Sundays, Sept. 20 to Oct. 27, 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.

The Botanic Gardens at Chatfield will feature a seven-acre, Colorado wildlife-themed corn maze this year. The maze takes about an hour to complete and is full of twists, turns, and dead ends, and you can view it from a 15-foot-tall bridge. There will also be a mini-maze for children ten and under, as well as barrel train rides, escape rooms, picnic tables, and food vendors.

    2. Cottonwood Farms

    Date: Every day from Sept. 28 to Oct. 31, 10 a.m. - 6 p.m.

Cottonwood Farms is a family-owned farm, selling pumpkins, produce, and winter squash. The farm's corn maze is cut by hand, allowing the paths to be narrower and the experience more personal.

    3. Fritzler Farm Park

Fall Fest: Select dates from Sept. 15 to Oct. 27

    Scream Acres: Opening Sept. 21

As well as the corn maze, Fritzler Farm Park includes go-cart tracks and a pumpkin train, as well as many other fall attractions.

    4. Maize in the City

Date: Select days from Sept. 21 to Oct. 31

Located in Thornton, the 20-acre Crazed Corn Field Maze takes about 40 minutes to complete. You can also use a smartphone trivia game to help you navigate the maze. There's also a mini maze for kids to complete.

    5. Anderson Farms

Date: Select nights from Sept. 25 to Nov. 2

Anderson Farms features plenty of exciting fall activities, including Colorado's longest-running corn maze . Guests can also participate in the farm scene investigation, where they'll have to solve a mystery within the maze. There is also a scavenger hunt to find 18 checkpoints hidden in the maze.

    6. Rock Creek Farm

Date: Open daily from Sept. 28 through Halloween

Rock Creek Farm includes nearly nine miles of Halloween-themed mazes. There are four intricately designed patterns of different lengths and complexity, according to Road Creek Farm, ranging from an easy 0.3-mile maze to a 4.2-mile maze. There are also corn maze games to play.

    7. Mazzotti Farms

Date: Saturdays and Sundays in October

Located in Hudson, Mazzotti Farms boasts a 10-acre corn maze that is scare-free. Mazzotti Farms also includes a pumpkin patch, petting zoo, and fall and agriculture-themed games.

    8. Mile High Farms

    Date: Sept. 28 - Oct. 27

Located east of Denver in Bennett, Mile High Farms features two corn mazes over 11 acres. There is also a petting zoo, antique tractor hayride, pumpkin patch, barrel cart rides, corn pits, entertainment, and concessions.
