    8 great pumpkin patches to check out this fall in Colorado

    Looking for a fun family-friendly activity that's perfect for call in Colorado and doesn't mean venturing into the backcountry?

    Here are eight pumpkin patches across Colorado:

    1. Long Neck Pumpkin Farm

    Date: Sept. 21 - Oct. 27

    In addition to the pumpkin patch, Long Neck Pumpkin Farm in Colorado Springs offers many other fun fall activities, including hayrides, a hay slide, duck races, farm animals, tractor swings, and more.

    2. Cottonwood Farms

    Date: Sept. 28 - Oct 31

    Pick your own pumpkins at this family farm located north of Lafayette. The farm also offers hayrides every Saturday and Sunday in October, where you'll sit on straw bales and go through the patch. There is also a corn maze and straw bale maze.

    3. Diana's Pumpkin Patch & Corn Maze

    Date: Sept. 21 - Oct. 31, Friday-Sunday and weekdays by appointment (for groups of 15 people or more)

    This family-owned farm also includes a pumpkin field and corn maze. There is also a hay slide, hay ride, climbing rope, duck races, and even a photo booth barn. The grill is open from 11 a.m. - 6:30 p.m. and the snack barn has great fall treats.

    4. Anderson Farms

    Date: Sept. 25 - Nov. 2

    Take a wagon ride out to Anderson Farm's pumpkin patch on an antique tractor. The pumpkin patch is 30 acres and has over 70 varieties of pumpkins, squash, and gourds.

    5. The Bartels Pumpkin Patch

    Date: Open through Oct. 31

    Located in Fort Collins, this family farm has been around since 1905. Guests can pick out pumpkins, explore the corn maze, or take a hay ride.

    6. Studts Pumpkin Patch

    Date: Sept. 28 - Oct. 30

    In addition to the pumpkins, Studts Pumpkin Patch in Grand Junction has a long list of fall activities. Guests can also enjoy a petting zoo, animal barrel train, pedal cars, horse-drawn hay rides, and corn cannons.

    7. Miller Farms

    Date: Labor day-mid November

    Miller Farms' fall festival provides guests an opportunity to harvest their own vegetables (including pumpkins) as they take a tractor ride through 180 acres of fields. The farm also includes kids' play areas, antique tractors, pedal tractors, and hay pyramid.

    8. Mile High Farms

    Date: Sept. 28 - Oct. 27, Saturdays and Sundays

    Located east of Denver in Bennett, Mile High Farms features a pumpkin patch, petting zoo, antique tractor hayride, barrel cart rides, and entertainment and concessions.
