Here's the 'best neighborhood' in Denver in 2024, according to 5280 Magazine

Denver's 5280 Magazine has released their popular annual breakdown of the 'Best Neighborhoods in Denver' – and a spot known for its green space, pricey homes, and walkability ended up snagging the top spot.

Spanning about 160 acres near downtown on the southeastern side of the city, Washington Park ended up at the top of their ranking. Home to just over 7,000 residents, the average home sale in 2023 for the area was a whopping $1,915,886 – the second-highest on the 5280 'top 25' list behind only the Country Club neighborhood and its $2,404,501 average home sale price in 2023.

To create their report, 5280 evaluated the 78 official Denver neighborhoods on a number of factors related to livability, looking at aspects of life like safety, home values, school ratings, and more.

Quick! Implement ADUs and other policies that make the best neighborhoods crappier. You know, for equity. Nobody should be allowed a nice neighborhood. Some east coast university sociology department decided desirable neighborhoods must be replaced with 15 minute utopian cities and deciding for themselves is not permissible.
