Casa Bonita opens another round of reservations, more than 20,000 in queue in minutes

Casa Bonita has launched another round of much-hyped publicly available reservations, and once again, the queue line is long.

Casa Bonita, a popular Mexican restaurant in Lakewood that has amassed a sort of cult following over decades of operation thanks to its lively atmosphere that includes a Mariachi band and cliff divers, launched a first round of reservations last month, with their reservation system almost instantly getting overwhelmed by more than 50,000 hopefuls seeking to book a table at the spot during October and November openings. All spots were filled with many left waiting in line for their chance to dine at the establishment after many months of invite-only access.

On October 7, another opportunity to make a reservation went live, this time for dates in December. It was met with a similar hype, going live at 9 a.m. and with a queue line above 20,000 by about 9:30.
