The Frisco Historic Park & Museum , in partnership with Theatre SilCo, is hosting a free Mystery at the Museum event on Saturday, Oct. 12. The clue-styled mystery party will take place from 2-5 p.m. at the Frisco Schoolhouse Museum.

Guests will work to solve the mystery of who caused an explosion at the Excelsior Mine and Mill and why through a series of interactions, clues, and puzzles. Those who complete the puzzle can submit their answer in a drawing to win prizes from local businesses. Because of content, implied violence, and difficulty, the recommended age for the event is eight years and older.

"We're excited to kick off spooky season with the return of this fun and free event at the Frisco Historic Park and Museum," said Rose Gorrell, Frisco Historic Park and Museum manager, in a news release. "Participants will learn about some darker aspects of Summit County's history while doing something unique with their friends and family."

Registration for the event is not required. Participants can come anytime from 2 p.m. on, but the last group must begin by 4:30 p.m. Participants should also be sure to dress weather-appropriate because part of the party happens in other historic buildings throughout the park.
