Popular slopesports publication OnTheSnow has released their 2024 picks for 'top family-friendly' ski resorts on the continent, highlighting multiple spots in Colorado ahead of the start of the season.

The top 'family-friendly' resort continent-wide was determined to be Keystone Resort in Summit County. This will likely come as no surprise among those familiar with this spot, which is known for having a wide range of terrain, including excellent options for families and beginners.

Not only is Keystone home to the Schoolmarm run, which offers 3.5 miles of continuous beginner terrain, it also features a beginner-friendly terrain park, snow tubing, and a mountaintop snow fort that's great for kids to explore. Plus, there's plenty of on-site lodging close to the slopes, making it easy to get to the lift in the morning.

Ranking second on the North America-wide list was another Colorado spot – Steamboat. Aside from hosting numerous family-friendly events throughout the winter season, Steamboat is also known for its 'kids ski free' program , which allows children 12 and under with a paying parent (five days or more) to ski for free.

Other Colorado spots that also made the cut to be included on the ranked list of 19 resorts include Breckenridge (12th), Beaver Creek (13th), and Winter Park (16th).
