Colorado Springs police on Sunday arrested a woman suspected of abandoning her vehicle on railroad tracks while drunk, law enforcement officials said.

Haleigh Micci, 21, faces a charge of driving under the influence, according to police.

Just before 3 a.m. Sunday, BNSF Railway officials contacted Colorado Springs police about a vehicle that had been hit by a train on the tracks crossing South Sierra Madre Street, near Mill Street. Responding officers found an unoccupied vehicle at the scene.

Investigators determined that the driver likely got stuck on the railroad tracks, saw an approaching train and left the vehicle.

Officers later found the driver, identified as Micci, and arrested her on suspicion of DUI. No injuries were reported in connection with the incident.
