OP police arrest suspect in stabbing, victim expected to survive

Overland Park police surrounded an apartment building Monday night and arrested a suspect in a Monday morning stabbing.

The suspect surrendered after officers found out he was in a unit at the Meadowlark Hill Apartments in the 9100 block of Foster Street, according to a police department spokesperson.

The attack occurred about 12:15 a.m in the 8100 block of West 89th Street in Overland Park.

The victim, an Overland Park resident, was taken to a hospital and is expected to survive.
