    Kansas City man found guilty in deadly 2022 Overland Park shooting

    KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A Kansas City, Missouri man was convicted Wednesday for a 2022 shooting in Overland Park that left another man dead.

    A Johnson County jury found Zarrell Semaj Finley, 27, guilty of first-degree murder.

    Governor Parson to decide on Blair’s Law in the coming days

    On July 31, 2022, officers with the Overland Park Police Department responded to a shots fired call at the BP gas station at College Boulevard and Antioch Road .

    When officers arrived on scene they found a man seriously wounded. He was taken to a local hospital where he died from his injuries and was identified as 26-year-old Shaquille J. Jackson.

    Finley is scheduled to be sentenced on August 15.
