In Donald Trump’s telling, the idea was born over dinner at his Las Vegas hotel, where the server for his table complained about the burden of paying taxes on her tips. “I was actually surprised to hear it,” Trump said last month at a rally in Virginia, adding that he quickly decided to address the server’s problem with a new campaign pledge: “No taxes on tips!”

Hard Rock to donate artifacts from The Mirage to Las Vegas’s Neon Museum
Hard Rock International will donate several artifacts from the Mirage Hotel and Casino to the Neon Museum in Las Vegas. The donation is in collaboration with the PENTA Building Group, the general contractor selected to do most of the demolition of the iconic Strip resort that closed Wednesday. Penta will also handle the majority of construction, scheduled for completion in 2027.

While this will hopefully bring some exciting new changes to the franchise, the organization had a presentation earlier this week for the new stadium that didn't go so well. At the presentation, the A’s confirmed there are currently no financing plans for a proposed $1.5 billion ballpark in Las Vegas, per Scott Roeben from Vital Vegas. This should raise some concern for the franchise and its fans.
