Being in a tough conference and a tough section, it can be difficult to start the season 3-0, which the Huskies haven't done since 2020. But that changed on Friday night.

After wins against Hastings and Chanhassen to start the season 2-0, the Huskies traveled to New Prague to take on the Trojans. The game was the first section matchup for both teams, with the Huskies winning 19-7 to be at 3-0 on the season.

The Trojans were the first to score in the first quarter, as a rushing touchdown gave them an early 7-0 lead.

But that was the last points they were able to score on the night, as the Huskies scored an unanswered 19 points to win the game.

The Huskies' first score came from a pass by Hunter Theis to Nolan Ginskey for an 80-yard touchdown reception in the first quarter. The same thing happened in the second quarter, with Theis throwing to Ginskey for a 39-yard touchdown. The Huskies were unable to score a PAT or a two-point conversion on their two first-half touchdowns.

Going into halftime 12-7, the Huskies scored again in the third quarter as Tristan Graham scored on an 11-yard rushing touchdown.

The Huskies return to Federated Field next Friday to face off in a rematch of last year's section title game against the Northfield Raiders.
