Owego author inspiring children through faith

(WIVT/WBGH) – An Owego author is inspiring children to be kind to one another through faith and praise.

Lenora Riegel recently released her ninth book, “Play Together.” The book is about children including each other as they play on the playground.

Play Together is Riegel’s first-faith inspired book and includes a number of Bible verses. It also includes positive affirmations to remind children that they are loved.

The book is a collaboration with Riegel’s friends Randi Mahomes and Theresa Jane. Riegel says the women inspire her through their devotion to their faith.

“I did the actual writing and the drawing but their inspiration of their faith through God is such a beautiful inspiration that they are,” said Riegal.

Riegel says she likes to collaborate with others on her stories and previously worked with the Binghamton Philharmonic on Quaver Has a Feeling which matched emotions with classical music. Another one of her books, Stuffie Sleepover at the Library, was inspired by her grandson.
