Family believes Bloomington man found dead along rural Owen County road was murdered
OWEN COUNTY, Ind. — Detectives are continuing to investigate how a Bloomington man wound up dead along the side of a country road near the Owen-Monroe county line. The body of 23-year-old Malik Sims was found on Monday afternoon along Stephenson Road after someone driving by saw it and called 911.

The Owen County Sheriff’s Office is leading an investigation into the death of a Bloomington man. According to a statement on the Owen County Sheriff’s Office Facebook page, Malik Sims’ body was discovered alongside a county road in rural Owen County Monday. A cause of death has not been determined, pending an autopsy.
